About The Role

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and successfully deliver the rolling Supply Chain Programme that supports growth in the construction industry for SME’s, micro-businesses and sole traders in the London Borough of Hillingdon in line with KPI’s and budget.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Programme providers, Sponsors and Partners in conjunction with the Committee.
  • Seek funding through sponsorship, grants and other sources for HCC and other projects identified and write bids as appropriate.
  • Develop the Chamber, through increased membership and partnership working
  • Report to the Committee in line with project delivery timescales.
  • Promote new or additional services to Hillingdon Businesses and Existing Members
  • Actively explore and develop new markets and opportunities for our key services, and secure new sponsors
  • Attend Committee meetings
  • Attend networking events run by the Chamber.

About You

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience, with a track record of successful project management and business development.
  • A track record of success in capitalising on opportunities and developing new business relationships.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task, proactively anticipate issues and instigate solutions, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines and budget.
  • Confident and effective communication, presentation, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualifications suitable to the position.
  • Computer/technology literate
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of personal accountability, self-motivation and have the ability to research, be creative and proactive, think strategically and work independently.
  • Work independently and as a team.
About The Company
Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce was established in 1908 to work in the interests of the local business community and to help them achieve their full business potential.  The Committee is run by a group of dedicated volunteers who have expertise and experience in the private, public and voluntary sector who meet on a monthly basis.   The group is headed by the Chairman, Mike Langan, who has held the position for over 10 years.  The Chamber has ties with West London Business and works in partnership with many local organisations such as Heathrow Airports Limited, Ward Williams, Uxbridge College and Brunel University.
