About The Role

Cobalt Ground Solutions Limited are seeking a dedicated and professional Baggage Agent to join their team.

In your role, you will undertake all activities airside within the Baggage Services department by the physical loading and off-loading of carts/bins to and from the aircraft, to ensure Cobalt meets and exceeds the required standards of: customer satisfaction, health & safety, agreed quality standards and performance targets. You must ensure overall customer satisfaction, in combination with operational cost efficiency.

As a Baggage Agent your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all communication has been read, understood and works together with the Baggage Senior Agents, Supervisors and BDO and other departments, to ensure an overall smooth Cobalt operation on the day
  • Responsibility for the smooth running of the daily operation within the Baggage Services dept, in the most cost-effective manner ensuring that all airline customers, Cobalt, HAL and other relevant procedures are met and without compromising health & safety and security regulations
  • Actively participating where necessary with external bodies such as: HMRC, UK Border Agency, DfT, HAL (this list is not exhaustive) and takes appropriate action if required
  • Ensuring that all agents take good care of their working environment i.e. company property and airport infrastructure and report faults promptly
  • Providing information to the Baggage Services Senior as and when required
About You

The ideal candidate for this role will be educated to at least ‘GCSE’ level standard or equivalent. In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Manual Handling training and experience essential, ability to lift heavy weights with appropriate training
  • Full UK Drivers Licence essential
  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in an operational/manual service environment
  • Basic IT skills
  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills and highly developed communication skills
