About The Role

JD Wetherspoon are seeking a motivated and energetic Bar Associate to join their team.To deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all customers, with the key aim of retaining and attracting new customers.

The main duties and responsibilities of a Bar/Floor Associate include:

  • Ensuring the highest consistent standards of CQSMA* are achieved.
  • Ensuring that all products are served and presented in accordance with company specification
  • Maintaining knowledge of products and current promotions 
  • Adhering to the Company’s cash handling and stock control procedures
  • Ensuring that the bar, front of house, toilets and other areas of the pub are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Company guidelines throughout the day , adopting the Company’s Clean As You Go philosophy
  • Adhering to the Company’s Uniform Policy at all times when on duty
  • Maintaining a high level of attendance and time keeping in line with your schedule
  • Attending monthly staff meetings
  • Adhering to all aspects of licensing law, trading standards, Customs and Excise regulations, food hygiene, health and safety and Company policy.
  • Working in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
  • Carrying out any reasonable instruction given by any member of the Pub Management team or any Wethercentre Manager, including carrying out other or additional duties you are asked to do to meet the needs or requirements of the business.
  • Maintaining continuous development of their personal knowledge and abilities by completing all training, including: induction, eLearning, workshops and projects as required and on the job training.
  • Ensuring the Challenge 21 Policy and Don’t Do Drunk Policy is being adhered to and to inform the Duty Manager where you sense the policy needs to be enforced or may be breached.
