About The Role

Thomas Interiors Ltd are seeking an experienced and reliable Assistant Accountant to join their team. The role of the Assistant Accountant is to assist the Finance Director in the management of all financial aspects of the business. 

As an Assistant Accountant your key responsibilities include:

  • Processing of customer and supplier invoices
  • Management of job costing in financial systems
  • Organising staff pension payments and records
  • Assisting with the preparation of Financial Accounts and audits where required
  • Assisting in Payroll and time sheet processing
  • Supporting Maintenance/Minor Works pricing and job costing
About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a financial role with a detailed understanding of accounting processes including debtor and creditor management.In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines with a high level of attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of Accounting systems, preferably Sage
  • GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience
  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard
